Our work
Client work, our own products, and the tools we give away.
The case studies we’re proud of, the products we’ve shipped and still run, the assessments and playbooks we hand out for free, and one nonprofit build a month for the missions that matter, because some things shouldn’t cost. Rooted in climate systems and mission engineering. Rigorous, research-based, regulated, since the beginning.
Case studies
The work we choose all has a similar undercurrent. A regulated financial compliance platform and a Mars mission both need the same discipline: reliable, auditable, and stubbornly correct under pressure. What we build for one, the next benefits from.
The three below tell the shape of the practice: the pre-deal read, the modernisation rebuild, and the long-arc research platform. The full index has the rest.
NASA / JPL · Mars mission cloud backend
Pixlise
The PIXL X-ray spectrometer analyses Martian rock chemistry live. We built the backend that cut processing from 30 hours to 10 minutes, so a hypothesis and its answer share a single sol.

The Accelerator
A medallion-architecture data platform with IRB-grade tiered access. Research that took two years now takes three months. 100+ beta users; continuing as the open-source Social Explorer.

Sanctions Compliance Platform
Spreadsheet compliance replaced with an audit-ready platform. AML, sanctions screening, KYC, and investigations. 50-person delivery team, one codebase, three months to deployment.

Some things are worth building without a business model. A design sprint to show what AI-in-the-loop looks like on a real product. A working reference for a language nobody else was documenting properly. Not for sale, not for pitch, just for the field.
Both live below. Both hold up better than any slide would.

Muninn
307 commits, 60+ components, no Figma. A working compliance platform end-to-end as an AI design sprint. Log into the running app.

Building our own products keeps the practice honest. We ship them to a real audience, run them at real scale, and learn the same lessons we bring to client work: what breaks under load, what a support inbox actually looks like, what a good review tells you that a demo can’t.
These are the ones alive today.

The reads we run for money are the same reads we’ve published here for free. Because the value is not in the checklist. The value is in the answer you get when a senior operator sits down with your specific data and writes back honestly.
If you want the shortcut, they’re all here. If you want the read, that’s what we sell.
Diligence & Assessment
Score first. Decide later.
Tech-risk scoring, AI-readiness, pre-acquisition diligence. The self-serve versions of the reads we run on paid engagements.

Every month one nonprofit build lands on our engineering roster. Pro bono or at cost, senior engineers, no junior handoff. The organisations we work with are running on volunteer time and free-tier tools, and one properly-scoped build can be the difference between a mission that scales and one that doesn’t.
First slots are filling up. If your organisation would benefit from senior engineering, apply.
A build a month
For the missions that matter.
A rolling monthly slot for a nonprofit build we take on pro bono or at cost. First slots are filling up. If your mission would benefit from senior engineering, apply and we’ll come back with an honest read on whether we can help.
